David Hernandez, 33, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2024, in Harlingen, TX. He was born on April 30, 1990, in Harlingen, TX., to Martin Hernandez and Sulema Rocha Armadillo.
He is survived by his father, Martin Hernandez (Maria Lucia Ramirez), his paternal grandmother, Maria Hernandez, his maternal grandparents, Claro Rocha and Maria Vasquez Rocha, his mothers, Lisa Medina (Julio Medina Jr.), and Sulema Rocha Armadillo, the mothers of his children, Vanessa Barrientos and Jennedy Gonzales, his sons Jayden Gonzales, David Deandre and Davian Hernandez, his daughter, Venelope Hernandez, his brothers, Michael Hernandez, Julio Medina III, and Pedro Armadillo III, and his sisters, Megan Nyquist, Sarah Medina Cavazos, Justus Armadillo, and Clarissa Armadillo.
He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Baudilio Hernandez, his uncles, David Hernandez and Epifanio Rocha, and his aunt, Santos Hernandez.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jayden Gonzales, Julian E. Vela, Refugio Gonzalez, David Lozano, Julio Medina III, and Pedro Armadillo III.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 2 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home and will resume on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. with a holy rosary at 7 P.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 10 A.M. at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Interment will follow to his final place of rest at the Sebastian Cemetery where he will receive his full military honors.
After completing four years of Active Duty in the US Army, PV2 David Hernandez, received the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army service Ribbon.
